Lady’s journey took a sad turn when her family decided they no longer wanted her and left her at a shelter. This once joyful dog found herself in an unfamiliar place, missing the home she knew and loved. She became a shadow of her former self—sad and fearful, holding onto the hope of seeing her family again.
Time in the shelter dragged on, and with no one adopting her, Lady’s name was tragically added to the euthanasia list when she was just two years old.
Fortunately, her story took a positive turn when Shelly visited the shelter. Upon meeting Lady, Shelly was immediately charmed by her delightful demeanor and knew she had to act fast to save her life, especially after learning that Lady was scheduled for euthanasia that very day. Shelly called the rescue organization and pleaded for them to spare Lady, believing strongly that she could bring joy to someone’s life. Thanks to Shelly, Lady’s life was saved, and Shelly became her foster mom.
Lady Finds Her Human
Lady’s luck continued to improve. While with Shelly, she encountered Amy and her roommate in a parking lot. Lady didn’t hesitate; she ran over, greeting them with kisses and demanding belly rubs. Her immediate affection and joyful demeanor won their hearts on the spot.
Amy and her roommate had been considering adding a dog to their lives, and meeting Lady sealed their decision. It was clear she was the companion they had been searching for.
