It’s truly amazing to watch how quickly time flies, especially when you see your little puppy transform into a full-grown dog right before your eyes. One day, they’re a tiny bundle of fur, barely figuring out the basics of being a dog, and before you know it, they’ve grown into their large, adult dog bodies!
Eliana, who lives in Orlando, Florida, experienced this rapid transformation with her dog, Brandon. This big-hearted rescue pup was just a few weeks old when she saved him, and he quickly grew into a whopping 125-pound dog!
However, Brandon has a little issue—he doesn’t seem to realize just how big he is. Despite his size, he still insists on being cuddled and carried around like he was when he was a pup!
Brandon’s Journey to a Loving Home
Before finding his forever home in Florida, Brandon’s prospects weren’t looking good. Eliana discovered him on a farm, neglected and in poor condition. His previous owner hadn’t taken good care of him. Brandon’s fur was matted and dirty, and he was missing part of his tail due to an attack.
“His fur was caked with dirt and fleas, his belly was swollen, not from food, but from all the worms he had. I’d never seen so many parasites in a dog before. He was hungry, and his tail had been shortened after being mauled,” Eliana shared on her Instagram.
Moved by his plight, Eliana didn’t hesitate to rescue him and welcomed him into her home. Here, Brandon found the care he needed and grew up to be a robust and massive dog.

He Refuses to “Grow Up”
Nowadays, Brandon is a hefty 125-pound dog who seems oblivious to his actual size. He still acts like a puppy, always wanting to be in Eliana’s arms.
“Brandon doesn’t seem to understand how big he is,” Eliana explains.
Brandon’s favorite activities include hopping from one couch spot to another, squeezing under the desk, and sitting in Eliana’s lap. Despite his size making these feats seem impossible, he manages to do them all!
When Eliana first brought him home, she never imagined he would grow to be such a large dog. She thought he would be around the size of her two Golden Retrievers, but Brandon far exceeded those expectations.
“He grew into an extraordinarily large dog. I was expecting him to be about the size of my Goldens,” Eliana told The Dodo.
Clingy but Lovable
Brandon has a clingy nature; he loves staying close to Eliana at all times and never lets her out of his sight. Sometimes, Eliana has to be creative to find ways to keep Brandon entertained so she can get some work done.
Despite his needy behavior, Eliana wouldn’t have it any other way. Brandon’s attachment makes him a beloved member of the family.
