Unfortunately, Trisha’s situation went from bad to worse when her owners abandoned her on the streets, deeming her no longer useful. Left to fend for herself, she faced an uncertain and dangerous future.
Rescued But Not Safe Yet
Fortunately, Trisha was rescued and taken to a county shelter in Houston, Texas. But the shelter brought more grim news. It was overflowing with animals and could no longer accept new ones. This dire situation led the shelter to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize many animals, and Trisha was on that list.

A Life-Saving Call
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, a compassionate shelter employee stepped in. Moments before Trisha was to be euthanized, the employee hid her under a desk and made a desperate phone call to rescue her. Stacy Thomas, the Executive Director of Greenwalds Services, received the call and immediately rushed to the shelter.

When Thomas first saw Trisha, he was devastated by her condition. She bore the scars of her past abuse and showed signs of severe physical strain from constant breeding. Despite her exhausted state, Trisha still showed a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
