Malcolm’s journey began under the care of Nikki from Road Dogs and Rescue in Southern California. Nikki, who has a heartfelt connection to dogs with hydrocephalus, couldn’t resist Malcolm’s spirit. Hydrocephalus, a condition characterized by an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, gives dogs like Malcolm a distinctive large, dome-shaped head. This condition can hinder normal functions, but luckily, Malcolm’s symptoms have remained manageable, allowing him to live as joyfully as any other pup.

The Boss of the House
“Little Malcolm is definitely Mr. Boss Man,” Nikki shared with The Dodo. “He’s not short on opinions and he’s always ready to express them.” Whether it’s deciding who gets to come through the door or simply being the life of the party, Malcolm is never shy about taking center stage.
Despite his small size and medical condition, Malcolm’s personality is larger than life. He serves as a guardian of the home, greeting friends and scrutinizing strangers, all while keeping his tail wagging. Malcolm Finds His Forever Home
After six weeks of attentive care and medical checks, Malcolm was ready for the next chapter of his life—adoption. It was a bittersweet moment for Nikki and all who had come to adore him. He wasn’t just a resident; he was family.
