Barney, a black Russian Terrier, was in such a poor state that it was hard to believe there was actually a dog beneath the massive tangles of matted fur. The sight was shocking to everyone, but the resolve to help Barney was immediate and unanimous.
A Shocking Discovery

However, the court saw through these excuses. Tim was handed a five-year ban from owning animals and a 12-month community order. Additionally, he was fined $500 in costs and a $120 victim surcharge.
Barney’s Future
Now in private boarding, Barney is slowly adjusting to a new life where he is treated with the respect and care he deserves. The RSPCA has announced that he will soon be available for rehoming.
