Nameless Sweet Pup Desires a Loving Home with a Special Someone

Not all dogs get the chance to live happily ever after in a loving home, far from the uncertainty of the streets. Many of our four-legged friends spend their lives hoping for that day to come, but for some, it never does.

A Lonely Hope in the City Pound

In the midst of countless stories of neglect, one hopeful pair of eyes peeked from a kennel, waiting to be noticed by someone. This dog had spent an agonizing amount of time in a city pound, a facility where stray dogs are kept until they are either claimed by their owners or adopted.

But no one ever claimed him. He had no family to come and take him home. All he had in this world was hope.

A Heartbreaking Rescue

Thanks to the kind-hearted people at Howl Of A Dog, this 10-year-old dog was finally found in one of the kennels. He was sitting calmly, showing no emotions with his gentle demeanor. But his eyes were telling a different story. If they could speak, they would have said, “Please, save me, humans. I’m not feeling very good!”

He was extremely thin and clearly had many health issues.

“We rescued this dog from the city pound. He was emaciated and injured, and sadly, had never received any medical care there,” the Howl Of A Dog team wrote in a Facebook post.

The most heartbreaking thing of all was that he didn’t have a name. He only had an ear tag, indicating that until that day, he was just a number.

Facing Multiple Health Issues

The caring volunteers brought the dog into their facility, and for the first time ever, they gave him hope and a name. He was now officially named Timmy.

Unfortunately, Timmy’s situation was far from ideal. His coat was covered in fleas and lice, and his fur was so matted that it needed to be shaved completely.

Timmy was also diagnosed with anaplasmosis, a bacterial tick-borne disease that causes severe lethargy, decreased appetite, and dehydration. He felt incredibly weak. In addition to this, he had gastroenteritis and an old fracture in his leg that had never been treated.

Despite living with pain for years, Timmy never stopped hoping for better days. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers who didn’t give up on him, Timmy was finally able to walk on grass for the first time ever. Living in a narrow, concrete kennel, he had never experienced such freedom. But now, he was finally able to enjoy it.

With proper treatment and care, Timmy began to feel better with each passing day. He slowly came out of his shell and started eating normally again. Beneath the scars from his past, a brand-new pup emerged, eager to embark on new life adventures. Timmy was full of life, but he had never had the chance to show just how adorable he was—until now.

He’s No Longer Just a Number

After all this time, it’s safe to say that Timmy is no longer just a number. He now has a name, a story, and a big group of friends who will take care of him until he finds a proper home.

Timmy has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Now, it’s only a matter of time before this sweet boy meets his forever family and charms them with his sweet personality.
