The Rescue Mission Begins
One day, Aubrey V Lynn was at home working while her partner was headed to the gym. As he left their neighborhood, he spotted the little pup peeking out from the drain pipe. He couldn’t just leave her there, so he turned around and sent Aubrey a message about the dog.

Just as Aubrey and her partner were about to leave, getting back on their scooter, Charlie suddenly ran right up to them. Seizing the opportunity, Aubrey quickly picked up the pup, not wanting her to run away again. It was as if Charlie immediately felt the love Aubrey had for her and finally relaxed.
She calmed down immediately and didn’t try to get away, realizing that she was now safe.

Aubrey and her partner headed home, bringing the adorable pup with them. Although they hadn’t initially planned on having a dog, spending time with Charlie quickly changed their minds. Soon, they couldn’t imagine life without her.
“We never talked about it while trying to rescue her, because our focus was just getting her to safety, but I think both of us knew in that moment that she was a part of our family now,” said Aubrey.

Despite not having spent much time in the comfort and safety of a loving home, Charlie adapted to her new environment in no time. Aubrey shared, “[Charlie] adapted really well. We let her sleep and eat in safety for a while, and then the first time we went to sit with her, she was timid but warmed up so quickly. You could tell she just wanted to be loved — it was really sweet.”

Now, as Aubrey and her partner watch Charlie run around and play in their backyard, they can’t help but marvel at how much of an incredible addition she is to their family.
