Moved by the sight of Gizmo, Rafael Ramirez contacted Hope For Paws, a charitable group based in Los Angeles. He explained the poor pup’s plight, prompting immediate action from rescuers Alex Babcock and Katie McKittrick.
Ramirez stayed by Gizmo’s side until help arrived. When McKittrick approached, she gently petted the dog, offering the warmth he so desperately needed, though Gizmo still looked sadly at the ground.
The rescue team fed him, and he eagerly accepted the food. McKittrick then secured a leash around Gizmo and guided him into a crate.
