This alarming event occurred on the sprawling property of the Haldine family in North Carolina, prompting an urgent call to emergency services.

The rescue operation required specialized equipment and expertise. Firefighters from Cary Fire Department, Fairview Rural Fire Department, and Swift Creek Fire Department collaborated seamlessly. Utilizing a tripod setup and climbing harnesses, they orchestrated a rope rescue to reach and retrieve Mudge. One brave firefighter even descended into the well to ensure Mudge’s safe extraction.
